Being an entrepreneur and deciding to start a business is never easy. There’s always something new to learn, and a dozen new things suddenly appearing on the To Do list …and lets not even talk about the cashflow issues that act more like Houdini then Hilton at the end of the month.
At some point – almost all of us will have found ourselves in total overwhelm, swamped by utter frustration and exhaustion asking – is this really worth it? Am I really good enough? And how the hell do I actually make a living doing this? Where the heck did that money go? How am I ever going to make this work? Maybe I should just go and get a ‘real’ job…….it can feel like its all too hard and so often the advice we get – is from other photographers with the SAME issues! (Sound familiar?)
There really is an answer and I’d love to help you find yours.
I’m a mum and I’ve been self employed as a photographer for five years. Since leaving my corporate job in November 2012, I’ve had a baby, found my creative passion, built my business from part time to full time (with baby in tow), replaced my salary many times over, struck out on my own as a solo parent, learnt to juggle parenting with work, figured out what works (and a whole lotta what doesn’t!) and have built a successful six-figure business.
During this time I’ve studied some very successful photography businesses around the world and been lucky enough to have been coached or mentored by some of the industry’s leading educators and business owners – be they solo-preneurs or studio owners. I’ve also invested in education outside of the photography industry as well – both in business and in personal development.
I love photography and every day I am so grateful to do what I do. However even more than photography – I am passionate about inspiring others to reach for their dreams. My aim is help you see real results, to guide you through the numbers, help you develop a success mindset and to help you achieve your dreams in this amazing career.
I truly believe in this industry and the potential that each creative spirit has within them to find and follow that spark of inspiration and the path that is right for them.
That’s why I’ve decided to follow my own true inner calling and begin helping others to achieve their dreams. I’m still a photographer first and foremost, but I am opening my door to share what I’ve learnt and to help guide others through the business side of being a photographer.
If you’d like to know more or you’re interested in being mentored – please get in touch.
(Please note that due to my studio schedule, I have very limited spaces available at this point and am only interested in working with people who are passionate about turing their dreams into reality.)
